Summer School Students Enjoyed a Cultural Experience with Traditional Flavors at the City Council

International students studying in Malatya as part of the 2025 Turkish Summer School program came together at a cultural event hosted by the Malatya City Council. During the program, the students had the opportunity to practically experience Turkish culinary culture by participating in the preparation process of traditional Malatya dishes such as analı kızlı and cherry leaf rolls.

The dishes, which were ready to be served, were tasted by the participants at the program organized by the Malatya City Council. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the students both tasted the dishes they had prepared and shared their cultural experiences through local flavors.

The program was attended by Malatya Deputy Governor Talat TABUR, Malatya Turgut Özal University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan ERDEM, Malatya City Council Secretary General Dr. Hasan BATAR, Malatya Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Yener OBA, Malatya Turgut Özal University Continuing Education Application and Research Center Director Lecturer Cumali AYDOĞAN, members of the City Council Women's Assembly, and foreign students participating in the summer school.

In the speeches made during the event, the importance of cultural interaction, the tradition of hospitality, and co-production in a multicultural environment was emphasized. Participants noted that such connections established with international students contribute meaningfully at both the local and global levels.
