TÖMER Participates in Spring Festivities

As part of our university's Spring Festivities held between May 5 and 8, 2025, TÖMER participated in the “Poetry and Culture Day” events held on May 5.

At our TÖMER booth, students from different countries introduced their cultures, reflecting the multicultural structure of our university. Additionally, the “Cultural Activities and Music Performance by International Students” event, which took place between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM, attracted significant interest. The program began with a video presentation describing our students' Turkish language learning processes. Our Thai student Affaf Wadeng shared her journey to Turkey, while our Palestinian student Noor Kanaan Hussein recited Yunus Emre's poem “Let's Love and Be Loved.” Additionally, the event concluded with a colorful finale featuring the poem “Memleket İsterim,” readings of texts themed around friendship, Nasrettin Hoca jokes, local dances, and international students collectively performing the folk song “Malatya Malatya Bulunmaz Eşin.”
